I am a successful Nigerian entrepreneur with a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years in management. I began my career as a management trainee at Eleganza Industries Ltd Oregun, where I gained experience in various departments such as Sales, Admin, Research and Development. I worked my way up within 3 years to Sales and Marketing Manager, then 2 years later to Executive Director of Eleganza Cooler Household Industries Limited, and later became the Executive Director of Eleganza Ball Pen Industries Limited after
another 3 years.

My passion for creativity, product development and entrepreneurship led me to start my own company, FICO SOLUTIONS LTD, in October 2004. My company specializes in contract manufacturing, including toys, promotional products and garments. Fico Solutions Ltd also has separate arm that is service orientated, which includes quality control on building projects, space management/design, and events planning/logistics.

In 2010, under FICO SOLUTIONS LTD I created, marketed and distributed internationally the first-ever Nigerian fashion dolls under the brand name “The Queens of Africa”, in response to an identity crisis my daughter had based on the fact that at the time there were not many dolls of color that looked like her. This led to the launch of the Queens of Africa project which aims to empower young Nigerian/African girls. Under the project, a series of children’s books and inspiring music were published and produced to positively make an impact in African/Nigerian girls worldwide.

All these were possible based on my wealth of business experience, organization, creativity, communication amongst other attributes.

Understanding the role and importance of structure, I also co-founded FASHION EXCHANGE NIG. LTD. alongside internationally recognized Nigerian fashion designer ITUEN BASI, which aims to support and develop Nigerian fashion designers. I believe that the Nigerian fashion industry has enormous potential and felt the need to help talented individuals achieve international success, by educating them on industry standards, business structure, quality control and design concepts. I have a great appreciation for art and fashion.

I find human mind and behavior fascinating. I did a program in NLP in the UK, I have read, watched and educated myself in this area extensively which has sharpened my people and communication skills. I am married with two children who are all British and live in the UK. I will be moving to the UK in 2024 on a spouse visa which permits me to work in the UK. My plan is to work for at least 5 years with a reputable organization where my wealth of knowledge and experience will be appreciated.

I enjoy traveling, watching Broadway shows, and educational programs in my
spare time.

“My mission is to make the Queens of Africa a symbol of hope, trust, and confidence by promoting African history, culture, and fashion.”

Talk About

Arts

“I see art as a an expression of inner state of mind. As the freedom to express personal emotions and understanding which in unique to each individual.

An artist can’t dictate the interpretation of his or her work to an audience. Art is fluid and can speak multiple languages.

Entreprenurship

“Entrepreneurship to me is not developing and running a business for gains, but I see it as first finding a solution to a problem and touching lives positively in the process of making profit. I see it as a win- win situation.

I feel without the positive impact on others and my immediate environment it is not truly profitable. I like the freedom and creativity it learns itself to and see things come into fruition.”

Innovation

“Innovation is crucial to how long and effective an organisation is. Organisations that are innovative solves problems and save money which in turn leads to longevity.
The world is fast evolving and technology keeps improving giving more options to how things can be done. Yesterday ways might not fit into tomorrow, for a company to stay relevant it must constantly be innovative.”

Leadership

“Leadership is the ability to communicate effectively and get people to give their best at work and feel great about it. As a leader I don’t encourage people to work for money, rather help them to discover a greater potential within themselves. I enjoy working with people when we work as though we are a family unit and feel confident enough to use their initiatives with a unified wholistic mutual benefit”
